Playing 100 Holes for a Purpose: Supporting Recruiting Classroom and Local Youth Sports
There are few things more powerful than sports when it comes to shaping confidence, teaching discipline, and creating opportunities for kids. Unfortunately, many families today struggle with the rising costs of youth athletics, equipment, coaching, and travel. That’s exactly why organizations like Recruiting Classroom are making such a meaningful impact in our communities.
This year, I’m excited to support Recruiting Classroom by participating in a unique fundraising challenge: playing 100 holes of golf in a single day to help raise money for youth sports programs and mentorship opportunities.
What is Recruiting Classroom?
Recruiting Classroom is dedicated to helping student athletes and families navigate the recruiting process while also creating opportunities for kids to participate in sports regardless of financial barriers. Their mission goes beyond athletics. They focus on mentorship, leadership, education, and helping young athletes build confidence both on and off the field.
Organizations like this are incredibly important because youth sports provide so much more than competition. Sports teach teamwork, accountability, perseverance, and work ethic. They create friendships, mentorship opportunities, and experiences that often shape kids for the rest of their lives.
Why 100 Holes of Golf?
On June 11th, I’ll be joining a group of golfers taking on the challenge of completing 100 holes of golf in one day. It’s going to be a long day physically and mentally, but it’s all for an incredible cause.
The goal is simple: raise money to help more kids afford the opportunity to play sports, gain mentorship, and have access to safe equipment and positive coaching environments.
The fundraiser will directly support Recruiting Classroom’s efforts to help over 300 kids participate in youth sports programs in 2026. Every donation helps remove barriers that prevent kids from being able to play the games they love.
Golf has always been a sport that teaches patience, integrity, discipline, and resilience. Combining that with an opportunity to give back to the next generation makes this event incredibly meaningful to me.
Why This Matters
As both a parent and someone who has seen firsthand the impact sports can have on young people, I know how important these opportunities are. Many kids simply need someone to believe in them, mentor them, and give them access to opportunities they otherwise may never have.
Youth sports can truly change lives, but the costs continue to rise. Registration fees, travel expenses, uniforms, equipment, and coaching can quickly become overwhelming for many families. Programs like Recruiting Classroom help bridge that gap and make sure more kids can stay involved.
How You Can Help
If you would like to support this cause, donations of any size make a difference. Every dollar raised helps provide opportunities for kids in our community to participate in sports and build lifelong skills through mentorship and teamwork.
